A Partnership with Michigan Men Zak Zinter and Trevor Keegan to benefit ChadTough Defeat DIPG Foundation and Hav a Sole Sneaker Donations.
Zak Zinter and Trevor Keegan, both All Big Ten Offensive Linemen and integral members of the University of Michigan's Joe Moore Award-winning offensive lines, are collaborating beyond the gridiron for an incredible cause. This joint initiative is dedicated to supporting ChadTough Defeat DIPG and Hav A Sole, while also generating funding for Name, Image, and Likeness opportunities for Michigan Football student-athletes.
From December 11th to December 31st, Zak and Trevor will serve as ambassadors in various promotional activities. Their aim is to utilize their NIL (Name, Image, and Likeness) to enhance awareness of the remarkable missions of the ChadTough Defeat DIPG Foundation and Hav a Sole.

ChadTough Defeat DIPG focuses on the arduous battle against DIPG/DMG, a form of pediatric brain cancer. Its mission is dual-fold: to fund transformative research aimed at finding a cure and to provide essential support to affected families, guiding them through their challenging journey. The vision of ChadTough is inspiring, as it aspires to a future where children diagnosed with DIPG/DMG can pursue their dreams and live fulfilling lives.
Hav A Sole strives to equip marginalized communities with quality footwear, fostering healthier lifestyles. This organization was born from the personal experiences of its founder, Rikki Mendias, who, during his youth in a shelter, understood the profound impact of owning a good pair of shoes. This understanding blossomed into a commitment to provide others with the same basic necessity, reflecting an ethos of kindness and community support.
This reality of how fragile being a student-athlete can be, hit close to home during the Michigan vs Ohio State game on November 25th, when Zak suffered a significant leg injury ending his 2023 season.
It also showcased how much this team and our student-athletes mean to the University of Michigan Community.
The driving force behind this initiative is the unwavering commitment of Zak and Trevor to their university and community. Despite having the option to enter the NFL Draft last year, they chose to complete their degree at Michigan, driven by a sense of 'unfinished business' on the field and a deep connection to their community off the field.
Their decision coincides with the transformative changes in college athletics, particularly since the introduction of NIL, allowing athletes to leverage their brand and platform for philanthropic efforts. This newfound freedom is at the heart of their initiative, utilizing their exposure and personal brand for communal benefit, NIL funding for Team 144, and navigating the precarious nature of college sports, where significant injuries can occur unexpectedly.
Through this initiative, Zak and Trevor demonstrate the "Michigan Difference" - a commitment to excellence, community, and philanthropy.
This collaborative effort between them, ChadTough Defeat DIPG, and Hav A Sole is a shining example of NIL being utilized positively, showcasing the potential of student-athletes to make a substantial impact in their communities while still pursuing their athletic and academic ambitions.
It's a testament to their character and the values they represent, making the University of Michigan community and its supporters incredibly proud. Go Blue.
70% of all proceeds raised will be split evenly between ChadTough Defeat DIPG and Hav a Sole to fund their critical missions.
30% of all proceeds raised will go directly to fund charitable NIL opportunities for Michigan Football.
We take pride in being powered entirely by volunteers, notably Michigan Women and Men dedicated to positively impacting our University. Our commitment to eliminate overhead ensures that every penny raised is maximized for the greatest possible benefit to our community and student-athletes.
