Supporting Hail! Impact Means Supporting Your Community
After two incredible years, Hail Impact is officially sunsetting.
When we launched in 2023, our mission was simple: empower Michigan student-athletes with NIL opportunities exclusively through charitable engagements.
Since then, we’ve partnered with over 200 student-athletes across five programs, supported dozens of nonprofits across the state, and helped raise more than $1 million for Michigan NIL initiatives—all driven by a dedicated, pro bono team of alumni, professors, students, and fans.
With the recent House settlement paving the way for universities to directly support NIL efforts—including through charitable engagement—we believe now is the perfect moment to pass the baton. And we do so with full hearts and immense pride.
Our remaining charitable funds will be donated directly to the University of Michigan Athletic Department, and our accumulated NIL dollars will continue to support current student-athletes.
To everyone who gave their time, energy, or resources: thank you. This journey—and the chance to spotlight the generosity and character of Michigan’s student-athletes—wouldn’t have been possible without you. We’re so proud to have helped show the world just how powerfully these athletes are using their platforms for good.
